My client is currently looking for a Senior Building Envelope Consultant to join their diverse team. With a strong presence across the USA, Priding themselves on expertise in the repair design, construction, and assessment of high-performance building envelopes. Currently expanding their team in Georgia and seeking a Senior Building Envelope Consultant to join their talented group of professionals.
Position Overview:
As a Senior Building Envelope Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in leading projects that focus on the repair design, investigation, and performance analysis of building envelope systems. You will leverage your technical expertise to provide guidance on all phases of building projects, while ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead building envelope consulting projects, including Repair design, existing building assessments, and rehabilitation projects.
- Conduct site investigations, condition assessments, and forensic analysis to diagnose building envelope issues (e.g., air leakage, water penetration, thermal bridging).
- Develop comprehensive design solutions, specifications, and construction documents for roofing, façade, glazing, and waterproofing systems.
- Oversee construction administration, perform field reviews, and provide recommendations for resolving issues on-site.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and clients to ensure alignment with project goals and industry best practices.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, proposals, and presentations.
- Mentor junior consultants and contribute to their professional development.
- Stay updated on industry standards, codes, and advancements in building envelope technology.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Building Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in building envelope consulting, with a focus on commercial, institutional, or high-rise projects.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license, Registered Architect (RA), or Building Envelope Commissioning (BECx) certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of building envelope systems, materials, codes, and performance standards.
- Proficiency in building modeling software, CAD, and diagnostic tools for building envelope analysis.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication, technical writing, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
