Building Enclosure Engineer/Architect - Shape the Future of Structural Engineering

Key Responsibilities:
- Apply your PE (Professional Engineer) or RA (Registered Architect) knowledge effectively.
- Oversee all aspects related to building envelopes from consultation to execution.
- Solve building performance issues creatively.
- Communicate with clients, manage small projects, and collaborate with teams.
- Help prepare fee proposals for building enclosure services for various clients.
- Support peer reviews, contract documents, and reports with accuracy and timeliness.
- Conduct field investigations, testing, and data collection for building envelopes per AAMA and ASTM standards.
- Assess conditions of roofs, walls, and windows on existing buildings.
- Research historical and modern design documents, codes, and materials for analysis and repair design.
- Coordinate with manufacturers for materials and system research.
- Handle construction administration tasks like submittals, RFIs, and site visits.
- Participate in office initiatives and professional organizations like ASTM and IIBEC.
Required Skills & Experience:
- PE or RA with 3-6 years knowledge of building enclosure consulting, the complete building envelope, experience performing testing of architectural elements, and evaluation, repair, and design of façade and roofing systems.
- Minimum or a Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Architecture
- The desire to engage in hands-on field investigations
- Ability to work in the field and to travel depending on job assignment and workload
- Valid driver's license, driving history, and background verifications
