Audio-Visual Systems Designer
A leading firm in the Denver area is looking for an experienced Audio-Visual Systems Designer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge AV projects, collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to develop innovative system designs.
About the Role
As an Audio-Visual Systems Designer, you will be responsible for developing AV system layouts, drawing packages, product specifications, and one-line diagrams. Working closely with internal teams and clients, you'll ensure seamless integration of technology into project designs while expanding your expertise in telecommunications and security design.
This role reports to the Senior Technology Systems Designer and plays a key part in the successful execution of AV projects of all sizes.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Technical Responsibilities:
- Assist in AV system design and documentation for projects of varying complexity.
- Collaborate with clients, consultants, and internal teams to develop detailed design solutions.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Utilize AutoCAD, REVIT, and Bluebeam to create system drawings and specifications.
- Participate in meetings to solve design challenges and refine project details.
- Review construction documents and shop drawings to ensure design accuracy.
Business Development & Collaboration:
- Support project proposals by contributing to RFP responses.
- Build relationships with clients and industry peers to drive repeat business.
- Stay engaged with industry organizations and emerging AV technology trends.
Risk Management:
- Work alongside senior team members to identify and mitigate design-related risks.
- Proactively address challenges to ensure smooth project execution.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, Media Arts Production (Audio/Music/Film/Video), or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in AV system design and installation.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, REVIT, and Bluebeam for developing technical drawings.
- Experience with CSI 3-part format specification writing.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
