Overview
An established environmental engineering firm specializing in water resources is seeking a Senior Stormwater Engineer / Project Manager to help drive growth and lead urban stormwater projects in Florida. This role involves business development, project management, and technical leadership in stormwater planning, design, and infrastructure solutions.
Responsibilities
Expand presence in the Florida stormwater market through business development and client engagement.
Lead stormwater infrastructure projects, including flood mitigation, conveyance, and water quality improvements.
Apply and oversee 1D/2D hydraulic and hydrologic modeling for urban and watershed-level projects.
Manage the design and development of contract documents for stormwater management facilities.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, designers, and scientists.
Travel within Florida, with occasional out-of-state trips for strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, or Agricultural Engineering.
10+ years of experience in stormwater and water resources projects.
Florida PE license (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
Expertise in urban stormwater management solutions, including multi-benefit projects.
Proficiency in modeling tools such as ICPR, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, ICM, FLO-2D, XPSWMM, ArcGIS, and Civil 3D.
Strong communication and critical-thinking skills with the ability to present to clients and teams.
Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
This role is ideal for an experienced engineer looking to make an impact in stormwater management while leading high-impact projects.
