Job Title: Senior Medical Equipment Planner

Salary: $120,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on experience

Location: East Coast, USA (Primarily remote with occasional travel to project sites)

Primary Responsibilities:

A highly regarded healthcare consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Medical Equipment Planner to support their growing portfolio of healthcare facility projects across the East Coast. This role offers the chance to work with top-tier clients while playing a key role in shaping medical environments that directly impact patient care. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading medical equipment planning from early design through to installation and activation.

  • Collaborating with architects, engineers, and clinical teams to develop accurate equipment layouts and specifications.

  • Conducting equipment assessments, managing data, and developing procurement strategies.

  • Maintaining strong relationships with vendors and internal project teams.

  • Supporting and mentoring junior staff to ensure knowledge transfer and quality standards.

  • Ensuring compliance with relevant healthcare codes, standards, and project requirements.

  • Participating in client meetings and contributing to planning deliverables and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Healthcare, Architecture, Biomedical Engineering, or related.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical equipment planning for a healthcare consultancy or health system.

  • Previous experience leading portions of projects or mentoring junior planners.

  • Strong knowledge of medical equipment, clinical workflows, and healthcare design standards.

  • Excellent communication and project coordination skills.

  • Willingness to travel occasionally for project site visits or client meetings.

  • Must be based on the East Coast or willing to relocate.
