Senior Mechanical Engineer- Pittsburgh PA

We are seeking a motivated and energetic senior mechanical engineer is needed to join a dynamic team and support high-profile clients in building and facilities projects. The role focuses on HVAC design activities, including performing calculations, selecting equipment, and developing construction documents such as drawings and specifications. The candidate will lead and mentor junior engineers and designers, and support fieldwork including existing condition surveys, progress field reports, and project close-out punch lists.

Education & Experience

Required:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university program.
  • Professional Engineering (P.E.) licensure.
  • 8+ years of related experience in an engineering consulting firm within the AEC and MEP/FP industry.
  • Ability to perform designs, calculations, reports, equipment selections, and specifications, drafting and modeling of mechanical HVAC.
  • General understanding of applicable codes and standards for the design of mechanical systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of graphical standards related to producing construction documents.
  • Proficiency in utilizing Revit and AutoCAD software.
  • Familiarity with Carrier HAP and/or Trane Trace software.

Preferred:

  • Ability to perform designs, calculations, reports, equipment selections, and specifications, drafting and modeling of plumbing or fire protection.
  • General understanding of applicable codes and standards for the design of plumbing or fire protection systems.
  • Familiarity with various software suites, such as MS Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel), and Bluebeam Revu.
