Job Summary

A growing engineering firm is seeking a Process Engineer to support the design, evaluation, and optimization of industrial and chemical process systems. This role focuses on process design, equipment selection, troubleshooting, and regulatory compliance, working within a multi-discipline team on feasibility studies, conceptual designs, and detailed engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Perform material and energy balances to optimize process performance.
  • Select, specify, and evaluate process equipment for industrial applications.
  • Troubleshoot operating processes and implement engineering improvements.
  • Ensure process safety and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with clients, vendors, and engineering teams to develop project solutions.
  • Participate in HAZOPs, process hazard analyses (PHAs), and risk assessments.
  • Oversee CAD design work related to process systems and provide technical guidance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • 7+ years of experience in process engineering, design, or technology development.
  • Experience in chemical, industrial, or manufacturing process systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex process challenges.
  • Proficiency in process modeling, PFD/P&ID development, and process calculations.
  • Knowledge of industry codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred.
