Head of PMO
We are currently seeking a Head of PMO to lead and enhance project governance, coordination, and management systems across a portfolio of renewable energy projects in Taiwan and the broader Asia region, including Japan and Korea.
Role Overview:
As the Head of PMO, you will be responsible for overseeing key areas of project and corporate management including scheduling, risk, documentation, integration, communication, and stakeholder management. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will help ensure consistency, efficiency, and transparency in project execution and corporate operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the evaluation, implementation, and training of project management systems and tools to improve visibility, governance, and traceability of information across the organization.
Ensure proper documentation across all phases of project and process development and ensure relevant information is effectively communicated and transferred across departments.
Provide cross-package project management support across corporate initiatives and assigned projects.
Monitor and support the execution of projects according to established plans, with particular attention to resource management and timelines.
Ensure compliance with company policies related to confidentiality, safety, and quality standards.
Drive the integration and continuous improvement of project and corporate management systems.
Research and assess new tools and technologies to enhance project delivery.
Apply core project management skills such as risk assessment, schedule management, process oversight, analytical reporting, and effective communication.
Collaborate with senior leadership to identify and address critical project management needs.
Provide leadership and mentorship to team members through coaching and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a PMO leadership role, managing full-spectrum PMO functions.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, ideally within multidisciplinary engineering or offshore project environments. Offshore wind project experience is highly desirable.
Solid knowledge of project execution methodologies and practices; PMI/PMP certification is a plus.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; an advanced degree is advantageous.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools (e.g., document management systems, risk management platforms, scheduling software).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Ability to work and be based in Taiwan.
Relevant experience from the Oil & Gas sector with transferable project management skills will also be considered.
