Estimator/ Project Manager
A prominent construction organization in the New York Metropolitan area is seeking a Project Manager with some estimating experience. The company has built a strong reputation for delivering exceptional performance on a wide range of contracts, including highway, bridge, rail, mechanical, marine, environmental, and heavy construction projects across the region.
The Project Manager will oversee all aspects of project planning, including scheduling, resource allocation, finances, safety, quality management, and value-engineering solutions. They will be accountable for profitability and client relationships.
Before construction, responsibilities include interpreting bid documents, developing project schedules, setting up offices, managing budgets, and handling safety plans and permits. During construction, the focus will be on safety, communication with stakeholders, managing schedules and delays, cost management, and coordinating field operations. After construction, the role includes project close-out activities, final payments, and administrative deliverables.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will meet most, if not all, of the following criteria:
Proven experience serving as Project Manager on large infrastructure projects
Proven history of controlling the safety culture on a project
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex engineering challenges and solutions to a wide variety of stakeholders
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Heavy Bid Estimating Software, and Scheduling Software
