Job Summary: LVI Associates is hiring an Electrical Commissioning Professional to provide technical and project leadership for the full life cycle commissioning of critical facilities. This role involves participating in MEP design reviews and functional testing of complex electrical systems. The professional will collaborate with design engineers, construction contractors, equipment vendors, and client staff to test, validate, and operationalize newly installed electrical systems, including those in mission-critical facilities.

The Electrical Commissioning Professional will independently manage day-to-day tasks, lead project teams, and coordinate activities of other personnel. They will assist in developing policies and procedures and ensure alignment with organizational goals and departmental objectives.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage commissioning projects, including developing proposals with project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Effectively manage multiple project teams and identify potential risks, developing strategies to minimize impact.
  • Serve as the primary client contact, potentially acting as a Client Program Manager with business development responsibilities.
  • Mentor associates and contribute to organizational training and standards development.
  • Perform inspection, validation, testing, and verification of project means and methods.
  • Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks and deliverables within budget.

Requirements:

  • Advanced knowledge of electrical system principles.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Ability to work successfully in a remote environment with effective communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to follow safety requirements and achieve certification for NFPA70E and/or OSHA training as needed.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent manipulation, movement, or grasping of small parts, devices, or tools.
  • Frequent stationary positioning and movement through various environments.
  • Occasional positioning under or over equipment and moving equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

Travel/Relocation Requirements:

  • Up to 75% travel, including potential relocation opportunities and international travel based on project needs.

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, or related discipline, or two years of experience with installation, testing, validation, and troubleshooting of mechanical and controls infrastructure, plus a minimum of thirteen years of additional experience in these areas.
