The team is seeking for an experienced Commercial Business Development Manager (BDM) to join their dedicated team and lead their growth in the B2B renewable energy sector.
This is a dynamic, hands-on role with the autonomy to build our commercial client base. You will connect with key decision-makers, manage complex sales cycles, and craft winning tenders and proposals. What You'll Do:
- Prospecting & Networking: Build and nurture a database of high-value commercial prospects in the renewable energy sector.
- End-to-End Sales: Manage the complete B2B sales process-from initial engagement and tender submissions to pricing negotiations and closing the deal.
- Client Engagement: Develop strong, long-term relationships with businesses, ensuring our company is their trusted partner for solar and battery projects.
- Project Scoping: Lead pre-sale assessments to inform custom solar and battery designs for tenders and proposals.
- CRM Discipline: Maintain accurate customer data in our CRM, from lead entry to sale completion.
What You'll Bring:
- Experience: Proven success in B2B sales-ideally 3+ years in commercial sales, with experience in solar/renewables a big plus. Tender submission experience is highly valued.
- Network: Existing connections in the commercial or renewable energy sector to hit the ground running.
- Drive: A self-motivated, "can-do" attitude with a passion for sustainable energy and exceeding targets.
- Skills: Excellent communication (written and verbal), strong organizational skills, and proficiency with Google Suite and technical tools (CRM, apps, etc.).
- Technical Mindset: Ability to learn and adapt to solar design and renewable energy systems-prior commercial design experience is a bonus.
- People Skills: A natural at building rapport with business clients, whether in person or over the phone.
- Requirements: Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and willingness to travel. Australian citizenship or legal right to work in Australia. Ability to provide a current police clearance within one month of starting.
