Position Overview

As a Senior Transmission Line Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of designing and delivering critical infrastructure that keeps the power grid strong and reliable. If you are a licensed Professional Engineer (PE), you can take full advantage of our remote-first work model.

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned engineer who enjoys tackling complex design challenges, working with cross-functional teams, and leading projects that have a tangible impact on millions of people.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and analysis of overhead transmission line projects (69kV to 500kV).

  • Develop and review engineering deliverables including plans, specifications, and calculations.

  • Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards (e.g., NESC, ASCE), and client specifications.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and clients across multiple states.

  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.

  • Support project management with scope, schedule, and budget input.

  • Interface with clients, regulators, and construction teams as needed.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Civil, or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).

  • Professional Engineer (PE) License required. Multi-state licensure is a plus.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in transmission line engineering.

  • Proficiency with tools such as PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, SAP2000, L-Pile, and AutoCAD.

  • Strong understanding of transmission line structures, foundations, and conductor selection.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to lead design efforts independently.

  • Experience with utility clients in Texas, California, Denver, or the Midwest is highly desirable.
