Electrical Engineer - Data Centers Team

Location: Atlanta, GA (Professionals can also be located in Overland Park, KS, St. Louis, MO, Canonsburg, PA, Charlotte, NC, Dallas, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Cary, NC, or Cincinnati, OH)

Summary

This position supports projects across North America, offering a hybrid work environment with flexible in-office requirements, up to three days in office per week. You will be joining the Data Center focused team, sitting as an electrical engineer within a collaborative and innovative team with opportunities for career development.

The Opportunity In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Function in a technical specialist capacity. Under general supervision, perform all aspects of conventional design engineering and analysis.
  • Broaden knowledge and skill set in your area of discipline. May start to expand knowledge in other disciplines and/or functional areas.
  • Develop Electrical design for Data Center projects.
  • Develop a variety of complex engineering deliverables including one-line diagrams, schematics, power and lighting plans, electrical installation details, and technical specifications.
  • Act as an Owner's Rep and support various engineering activities including design reviews, creation & review of MOP/EOP's, support of site operations, etc.
  • Prepare technical documents such as reports or design calculations.
  • Perform site condition assessments.
  • Coordinate with regional and global design teams.
  • Engage in continuous learning and development of technical expertise/specialty area.
  • Conduct project studies - Power System Coordination and Arc Flash Hazard Analysis, and Electrical Reliability Analysis.
  • Perform construction inspection and resolution of electrical construction issues.
  • Occasionally travel for site visits (up to 10% travel).

Qualifications

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing.
  • Minimum of 3 years related work experience.
  • EIT is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a desire to develop into a project lead for Data Center projects.
  • Revit / AutoCAD experience.
  • National Electric Code experience (as it relates to Building Design).
  • ETAP / SKM experience
