My client is a well-established, multidisciplinary architecture and engineering firm headquartered in Northern Virginia. With a strong legacy supporting high-security and technically complex projects, they specialize in the design of mission-critical facilities, telecommunications infrastructure, and data centers across the U.S. and internationally.

They are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their growing electrical team.


🔧 Key Responsibilities

  • Independently develop electrical construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates.

  • Conduct QA/QC reviews and respond to code official comments.

  • Attend construction meetings, review shop drawings, and respond to contractor RFIs.

  • Perform field visits, inspections, and punch list documentation.

  • Design using AutoCAD and Revit; conduct lighting analysis (AGi32) and power studies (SKM).

  • Support energy code compliance (e.g., ComCheck) and vendor coordination.

  • Write/edit technical specifications and commissioning scripts.

  • Conduct feasibility studies and facility condition assessments.

  • Mentor junior engineers and guide technical development.

  • Review and seal documents as appropriate and assist with obtaining PE licenses in other states.


⚙️ Required Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial electrical design.

  • Proven experience in mission critical, telecom, or data center environments.

  • Proficiency in tools such as AGi32, SKM, AutoCAD, Revit, and ComCheck.

  • Strong technical writing and communication skills.

  • LEED experience or certification is a plus.


📚 Qualifications

  • BS in Electrical Engineering

  • EIT certification required

  • PE license preferred (NCEES record a plus)
