Facilities Team Lead
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Practice Lead to oversee and grow our Water and Wastewater Facilities Engineering practice. This leadership role focuses on the planning, design, and delivery of water and wastewater treatment facilities and associated infrastructure projects. The Practice Lead will manage project teams, drive technical excellence, build client relationships, and contribute to strategic business development efforts, ensuring high-quality, sustainable solutions for a range of municipal and private clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the design and delivery of water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, and related infrastructure projects.
Provide technical leadership, quality assurance, and mentorship to project teams in the areas of facilities planning, detailed design, and construction support.
Oversee project scopes, budgets, schedules, and resource allocation to ensure successful project execution.
Maintain and develop strong relationships with key clients, identifying new business opportunities and supporting proposal development and marketing strategies.
Drive innovation in project delivery, incorporating advanced technologies, sustainability principles, and best practices into designs.
Collaborate with internal multidisciplinary teams, including process engineers, structural engineers, and environmental specialists.
Actively participate in industry organizations and represent the firm at conferences, workshops, and professional events.
Mentor and develop junior and mid-level staff to support career growth and technical skill development within the practice.
Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory updates, and emerging technologies to position the practice at the forefront of the market.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Minimum 10 years of experience in the design and management of water and wastewater treatment facilities and infrastructure projects.
Proven leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and delivering complex infrastructure projects.
Strong technical knowledge of water/wastewater process design, facility layout, hydraulic modeling, and permitting requirements.
Excellent communication skills, with a strong ability to foster client relationships and lead business development initiatives.
Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external stakeholders.
