My client, a local consulting firm, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Professional Land Surveyor to join their team in both Santa Fe and Albuquerque, New Mexico. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct land surveys, including boundary, topographic, and construction surveys for both public and private sector projects.

  • Prepare and review survey plats, legal descriptions, and other documentation related to land surveying.

  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and planners to ensure accurate survey data is used in design and construction.

  • Operate and maintain survey equipment, including total stations, GPS systems, and other surveying tools.

  • Supervise and mentor junior survey staff and field crews, ensuring accurate and timely completion of surveys.

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding land surveying practices.

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and budget constraints are met.

  • Communicate directly with clients, providing exceptional service and maintaining strong, long-term relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in New Mexico, or the ability to obtain licensure within a reasonable timeframe.

  • 3+ years of land surveying experience, with a solid understanding of surveying principles and practices.

  • Proficiency with survey software and equipment, including AutoCAD, Trimble, and GIS systems.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects.

  • Knowledge of local surveying regulations and standards in New Mexico.
