A nationally recognized engineering and design firm is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join their growing team in Irvine. Key Responsibilities
Lead civil engineering efforts for site development projects, including grading, drainage, stormwater, utilities, roadway improvements, and site planning
Manage project timelines, budgets, client communications, and quality control from design through construction
Oversee preparation of construction documents, permit packages, and technical reports
Coordinate with internal MEP, structural, and architectural teams as well as outside consultants
Mentor and guide junior engineers, EITs, and CAD staff
Serve as a technical resource for stormwater management design, hydrology/hydraulics, and low-impact development (LID) solutions
Assist with proposal development, project scoping, and client presentations
Maintain awareness of local codes, permitting processes, and regional development trends
Qualifications
B.S. in Civil Engineering (required); M.S. a plus
California P.E. license (required)
10+ years of experience in civil site development, land development, or related infrastructure projects
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (grading, profiles, utilities, corridors)
Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects and teams simultaneously
Solid knowledge of Southern California development codes, agency processes, and entitlement procedures
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, staff, and agency stakeholders
