Role Overview
- Position: Lead Substation Design Engineer
- Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid: 3 days in-office, 2 days remote)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead substation design projects (distribution, sub-transmission, transmission)
- Develop electrical design deliverables (protection/control design, physical design)
- Participate in management, project scheduling, and resource planning
- Interface with clients, vendors, and subcontractors
- Conduct QA/QC and mentor junior engineers
Team & Company
- Focus on innovative energy solutions in generation, storage, transmission, and distribution
- Invest in renewable energy for sustainable solutions
- Services include substations, overhead/underground transmission lines, renewables integration, HVDC/FACTs
Qualifications
- Minimum: Bachelor's degree in engineering, 5+ years related experience, pre-employment checks
- Preferred: Substation design experience (physical and P&C), project lead experience, QA/QC, PE license, strong communication and leadership skills
