Position: Director of Environmental Services
Location: Tampa or Jacksonville, FL
Responsibilities:
- Lead and expand the environmental practice in the Tampa Metro area, managing projects and proposals.
- Conduct research and analysis, and oversee field investigations and laboratory work.
- Identify and pursue new clients, develop additional work within existing projects, and attend business development meetings.
- Provide oversight and management of junior staff; coach, train, and motivate team members.
- Manage staff and project managers.
- Deliver multiple projects within budgets, schedules, and deadlines; prepare progress reports, change orders, invoices, and assist in payment collections.
- Perform complex analyses for various engineering and environmental projects.
- Interface professionally with clients, contractors, staff, and project personnel.
- Supervise field activities and ensure accurate data collection and laboratory analyses.
- Organize, write, and edit reports, proposals, and other documents.
- Coordinate work groups across different locations and disciplines as needed.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, or Science; Master's degree preferred.
- 15+ years of experience in environmental investigations and remediation projects.
- Knowledge of EPA, CERCLA, and RCRA regulations.
- Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
- Strong management skills for people, projects, and clients.
- Proficiency in quantitative/technical analyses and related software.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Attention to detail with strong analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Reliable transportation for meetings and site visits; valid driver's license.
Salary: 160-220k depending on experience.
