An exciting opportunity has arisen for a CEI Inspector to join a dynamic engineering team in Lakeland, FL. This is a permanent position that involves working on a long-term road and bridge project in Polk County. If you're passionate about civil engineering and have experience with Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) projects, this role is perfect for you.
Our client is actively looking to give someone an opportunity to work on a complex project with the potential for fast-track progression into a Senior Inspector role within 2 years. You'll also have the opportunity to work with some of the leading CEI professionals and learn from veterans of the industry!
Job Responsibilities:
- Inspect various road and bridge projects to ensure compliance with FDOT standards.
- Document and report on project progress and issues.
- Collaborate with construction teams to ensure specifications are met.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Must have four (4) years of related experience in construction inspection; two (2) years of which shall have been in bridge and/or roadway construction inspection.
- Understanding of FDOT construction project administration methods and processes including but not limited to training in MAC, BlueBeam, Hummingbird and Site Manager programs.
- CTQP Certification in Asphalt, Concrete, Earthwork, pile driving and drilled shafts are required.
