Position Summary: The Water/Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) Project Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including design, construction, and operational optimization. This role involves overseeing project teams, ensuring adherence to budgets and schedules, and working closely with clients and stakeholders to achieve project goals. This is a hybrid position that offers a flexible work environment, with a combination of office and remote work.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of water and wastewater treatment projects, ensuring they meet scope, time, and budget expectations.
Client and Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and internal teams. Provide regular updates and resolve issues that may arise during project execution.
Team Leadership: Manage project teams, including engineers, technicians, and subcontractors, to ensure effective collaboration and high-quality outcomes.
Technical Oversight: Lead the technical development of project deliverables such as design specifications, technical reports, and regulatory compliance documentation.
Budget & Schedule Management: Develop project budgets, track expenses, and manage schedules to ensure timely delivery of milestones and project completion.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects meet local, state, and federal regulations, including safety standards and environmental guidelines.
Risk Management: Proactively identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize delays and cost overruns.
Quality Control: Implement quality control processes to ensure that project deliverables meet the highest standards of performance, safety, and reliability.
Sustainability Focus: Promote sustainable practices in water/wastewater treatment and contribute to the development of environmentally responsible solutions.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience managing water/wastewater treatment plant projects, including design, construction, and operations.
Project management experience in water/wastewater infrastructure with knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and project teams effectively.
Strong knowledge of water/wastewater treatment processes, technologies, and equipment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with clients, team members, and regulatory agencies.
PMP or similar project management certification preferred.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex technical issues.
Familiarity with AutoCAD, GIS, and other engineering design software is a plus.

Knowledge of the latest trends in water/wastewater sustainability and innovative treatment technologies.
LEED or other sustainability certifications.
