Transportation Engineering Lead

A well-established and growing civil engineering and surveying firm with multiple locations across Texas. The company has been serving public and private clients for several decades and offers a collaborative work environment with a strong focus on professional development, client service, and infrastructure improvement.


An experienced Transportation Engineering Group Manager / Office Executive is needed to lead technical teams and oversee operations at a regional office. This role combines project leadership with office-level strategy, team development, and client engagement. It's a high-impact position offering career growth, leadership responsibilities, and the chance to shape the direction of an expanding office.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas or ability to obtain within 3 months

  • 10+ years of experience in civil/transportation engineering

  • Strong background in TxDOT project delivery and roadway design

  • Prior experience in team management or office/branch leadership preferred

  • Familiarity with engineering software such as MicroStation, GeoPak, and OpenRoads Designer

  • Must meet background, driving, and drug screening requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Manage engineering teams and oversee transportation project delivery

  • Provide technical oversight on roadway and infrastructure designs

  • Lead office operations including staffing, planning, and performance tracking

  • Support business development and maintain relationships with clients and agencies

  • Collaborate with internal departments and executive leadership on growth strategies

  • Represent the office in regional industry and professional settings

  • Promote a positive team culture and contribute to overall company success
