Data Center Controls Engineer
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) and Building Management Systems (BMS) in data center environments. The ideal candidate will have experience working with industrial automation, SCADA systems, and networking to ensure optimal performance and reliability of critical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, program, and commission EPMS and BMS systems in data centers.
- Develop and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.
- Work with modbus, BACnet, SNMP, and other communication protocols.
- Conduct system integrations, testing, and validation for new and existing infrastructure.
- Collaborate with facility engineers, contractors, and vendors to optimize performance.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for reliability and security.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Controls Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Experience with EPMS, BMS, and SCADA systems in mission-critical environments.
- Strong knowledge of PLC programming (Rockwell, Schneider, Siemens, etc.).
- Familiarity with power distribution, HVAC control, and critical monitoring.
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred: Certifications in Niagara, Tridium, or SCADA platforms and prior data center experience.
