BMS Engineer
Job Purpose:
Design and manage Building Automation System (BAS) solutions by:
- Reviewing project plans and customer requirements.
- Creating design packages (Sequence of Operations, Wiring Diagrams, Schematics, Bill of Materials, Schedules) using CAD and Microsoft Office.
- Programming software databases to meet system needs.
- Providing technical support to field teams.
- Ensuring system operability during installation.
Entry-Level Qualifications:
- 4+ years of relevant experience can offset the degree requirement
- Excellent computer skills.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
Advanced Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Computer Science preferred.
- 3+ years of BAS design/programming experience with systems like Distech, Alerton, Delta, Tridium can offset the degree requirement.
- Experience with programming languages and BAS programming (Function Block, Ladder, text-based).
- Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, Solidworks).
- Ability to interpret Mechanical/Electrical plans and specifications.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently or in a team.
Physical Demands:
- Frequent standing, walking, sitting, and handling/use of hands.
- Occasional bending, pushing/pulling up to 12 lbs., lifting/carrying up to 10 lbs., reaching outward and above shoulder, squatting/kneeling.
- Rare lifting/carrying of 11-20 lbs.
