We are currently seeking a dynamic professional to fill the role of W/WW engineer, a leading engineering firm in Chicago. This unique opportunity allows you to spearhead innovative initiatives, lead a team of engineers, and manage water and wastewater projects from conception to successful completion.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and optimization of water and wastewater treatment processes, including physical, chemical, and biological treatment methods.
- Conduct process evaluations, feasibility studies, and pilot testing to assess treatment options and determine the most effective solutions.
- Develop process flow diagrams, mass balances, and equipment specifications for treatment systems.
- Perform hydraulic and process modeling to optimize system performance and efficiency.
- Provide technical support during construction, startup, and commissioning of treatment facilities.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies to continuously improve our services and offerings.
Skills:
- A minimum of 7-10 years' experience in water and wastewater engineering.
- Strong technical knowledge of water and wastewater engineering - including but not limited to WTP, WWTP, pump stations, lift stations, sewer, stormwater, etc.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- PE License is preferred, or the ability to obtain one within 6 months
Compensation:
- Competitive salary between $90000-130000k
