Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President to join our Investment Team.
In this role, you will be responsible for a range of renewable energy investment activities, including sourcing, modeling, due diligence, and documentation. You will also manage development projects, prepare various reports for investment committees, and explore new investment areas such as battery storage, offshore wind, hydrogen, and ammonia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the entire renewable energy investment process, including sourcing, financial modeling, due diligence, and documentation.
- Oversee project management for development projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for investment committees and other stakeholders.
- Evaluate and explore new investment opportunities in emerging areas such as battery storage, offshore wind, hydrogen, and ammonia.
Qualifications:
- Extensive investment experience in the renewable energy sector, particularly in solar power.
- Strong sourcing capabilities backed by a robust industry network.
- Excellent communication skills to negotiate and finalize agreements with stakeholders.
- Proven management skills to drive projects forward by engaging and coordinating with various stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills in Japanese (speaking and writing)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience as an investment leader or in a similar role within the renewable energy sector.
- Experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) within the renewable energy field.
- Business-level proficiency in English.
