Job Title: Project Engineer - Water Resources

Salary: $70,000+ (commensurate with experience)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Project Engineer with a strong background in water resources engineering to join our team in Nebraska. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in the field, hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license, and demonstrate proficiency in industry-standard tools and techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, analyze, and implement water resources projects, including stormwater management, floodplain modeling, drainage systems, and watershed planning.
- Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic modeling to support project designs.
- Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and cost estimates.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated project solutions.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
- Provide mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff.
- Interface with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to address project requirements and obtain necessary approvals.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in water resources engineering.
- Proficiency inhydrologic and hydraulicmodeling software, including:
- HEC-RAS
- SWMM
- AutoCAD Civil 3D
- ArcGIS
- StormCAD
- Familiarity with regulatory guidelines and permitting processes (e.g., FEMA, EPA, Corps of Engineers).
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with low-impact development (LID) and green infrastructure solutions.
- Knowledge of local Nebraska water resource challenges and regulations.
- Project management experience or certification (e.g., PMP).
- Advanced skills in report writing and presentation.
