Job Title: Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager

Job Summary: The Environmental Health & Safety Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of EHS compliance and programs onsite. This includes the development, implementation, and monitoring of policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment, compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and the promotion of sustainable practices. The EHS Manager will also serve as the primary point of contact for EHS-related matters and work cross-functionally with various departments to enhance workplace safety and environmental stewardship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs, policies, and procedures in compliance with OSHA, EPA, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and inspections to identify hazards and ensure safety protocols are being followed.
- Lead investigations of workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and develop corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Coordinate training programs for employees on EHS-related topics, including hazard recognition, safety procedures, emergency response, and environmental best practices.
- Ensure the company's compliance with environmental regulations, including waste management, air, and water quality standards.
- Collaborate with management to drive continuous improvement in EHS practices, including the reduction of workplace injuries and environmental impact.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of EHS activities, inspections, reports, and incident documentation.
- Lead internal and external audits and inspections and manage the resolution of any non-compliance findings.
- Advise leadership on EHS risks, trends, and best practices, ensuring the company remains proactive in its environmental and safety efforts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- CSP or CIH required
- At least 8 years of experience in environmental health and safety management.
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
- Strong understanding of risk assessment, hazard analysis, and safety program development.
- Proven track record in incident investigation and reporting, as well as implementing corrective actions.
- Experience in managing EHS audits and inspections, both internally and externally.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
