Im currently working with a firm who is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Transportation Design Project Manager. In this role, you will lead and manage roadway and structural projects, utilizing your project management skills while contributing to the design and engineering aspects of the projects.
Responsibilities:
Project Manager:
- Lead roadway and structural projects from initiation to completion.
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets; monitor progress to meet objectives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing issues and providing updates.
- Coordinate project tasks and deliverables across teams.
- Ensure project compliance with regulations and industry standards.
- Identify and mitigate project risks.
- Prepare and present project reports to clients.
Design Engineer:
- Contribute to the design and engineering of roadway and structural projects.
- Use engineering software to create detailed designs and perform calculations.
- Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and other documentation.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to develop innovative design solutions.
- Maintain safety, sustainability, and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in transportation design and project management.
- Proven experience with INDOT projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering preferred, or 3+ years of experience working with or for INDOT.
- PMP certification is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
