About the Role:
As a Transportation Engineer, you will contribute to the design, planning, and implementation of transportation infrastructure projects. You will work on a variety of projects, including roadways, highways, and transportation systems, ensuring that each is efficient, safe, and meets regulatory standards. Whether you are an EIT or a PE, your expertise will be critical in providing innovative solutions and working with a talented team of engineers and professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze transportation systems, including roadways, intersections, and related infrastructure.
- Develop and review plans, specifications, and cost estimates for transportation projects.
- Conduct traffic analysis and modeling using industry-standard tools and software (e.g., Synchro, VISSIM, AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and government agencies to ensure project success.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and proposals for clients and regulatory agencies.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal transportation regulations and standards.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and client expectations.
- Provide mentorship to junior engineers and assist in their professional development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in transportation engineering, including design and analysis of transportation systems.
- EIT (Engineer-in-Training) certification or PE (Professional Engineer) license (or ability to obtain within a specified time).
- Strong knowledge of transportation engineering principles and practices.
- Proficiency in transportation design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Synchro, or VISSIM.
- Solid understanding of traffic analysis, roadway design, and transportation planning.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
