Responsibilities
- Oversee and direct on-site construction activities.
- Ensure work aligns with project plans, specifications, and safety standards.
- Review project startup packet, plans, submittals, and specifications with the team.
- Identify scope gaps and areas of concern in project documents, schedule, and processes.
- Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and overall project schedules.
- Ensure timely completion of project milestones and resolve on-site issues.
- Oversee logistics and delivery of materials, tools, and equipment.
- Provide regular progress updates and manage expectations.
- Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, tradespeople, and laborers.
- Collaborate with the project manager to address delays, material shortages, or technical challenges.
- Address workmanship or compliance issues.
- Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety meetings and inspections.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA guidelines, company policies, and industry regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, progress reports, safety inspections, and other site-specific documentation.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required, Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in construction, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or superintendent role.
- Proven experience managing commercial or residential construction projects.
- Strong working knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
- Familiarity with construction management software (Procore).
- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, including OSHA standards.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
