Role Overview
Seeking a highly experienced and motivated Structural Engineering Team Lead to join the team in Toronto. This role is at the Director level and involves overseeing the profitability and operations of the structural engineering business unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering and proven leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Profitability Management: Ensure the profitability of the structural engineering business unit.
- Staff Management: Direct and manage staff within the business unit, including performance reviews and recommendations for new hires.
- Work Prioritization: Prioritize worklists to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Field Work Coordination: Organize field work schedules in collaboration with the Office Admin.
- Fee Setting: Set fees for services provided by the business unit.
- Proposal Creation: Develop and present proposals to clients.
- Performance Reviews: Conduct regular performance reviews for team members.
- Staff Recommendations: Recommend new staff hires and necessary training programs.
- Engineering Work: Perform engineering tasks related to the business unit's projects.

Key Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of industry experience in structural engineering.
- P.Eng license in Ontario is mandatory.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
