The Role:
As a structural engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and analyzing structural components for various projects. Your responsibilities will include mentoring junior engineers, performing detailed reviews of engineering drawings, and managing project timelines and budgets. Additionally, you will conduct site inspections, ensure compliance with building codes and standards, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, sustainable solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze structural components for buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure projects.
- Prepare detailed engineering reports, drawings, and specifications.
- Conduct site inspections and provide technical guidance during construction.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure project success.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Utilize advanced software tools for structural analysis and design.
Qualifications:
- NYS PE license required.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering or related industry.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD.Pro).
- Strong knowledge of building codes and standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
