Role Description:
They are seeking a talented Structural Design Engineer to join their team at the Dallas office. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing structural elements for a variety of project types, including mission-critical facilities, commercial and retail spaces, housing developments, science and technology buildings, academic institutions, healthcare facilities, hospitality venues, and seismic roofing projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze structural components for a diverse range of projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Develop detailed construction plans and specifications using industry-standard software such as Revit.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure coordinated and integrated design solutions.
- Perform structural analysis and prepare design calculations for various building systems.
- Review and approve shop drawings, conduct field observations, and provide construction administration support.
- Ensure quality control measures are adhered to throughout the design and construction process.
- Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with clients and project teams.
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in structural engineering.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master's Degree in Structural Engineering preferred.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required; Structural Engineer (SE) license a plus.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in structural engineering, including experience with mission-critical, commercial, retail, housing, science and technology, academic, healthcare, hospitality, and seismic roofing projects.
- Proficiency in structural design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and structural analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of building codes, standards, and material design codes (e.g., International Building Code, ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC Steel Construction Manual).
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
