We are expanding our operations and looking for a seasoned Structural Department Lead to build out and lead our new office in Orlando, where we already have a robust client base.
Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Structural Department Lead with over 20 years of experience to oversee the establishment and growth of our new office in Orlando. This role requires a visionary leader who can spearhead our structural engineering projects, nurture client relationships, and drive the overall success of the office. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in structural engineering, project management, and business development within the building industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the structural engineering department, ensuring high-quality project delivery.
Develop and implement strategic plans for the Orlando office's growth and success.
Foster and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and develop new business opportunities.
Oversee and mentor a team of engineers and support staff, promoting a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.
Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
Represent the company in client meetings, industry events, and professional associations.
Collaborate with other departments and offices to leverage resources and expertise.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Minimum of 20 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on building projects.
Proven experience in managing and leading a team of engineers and support staff.
Strong business development and client relationship management skills.
Excellent project management skills, including budget and schedule management.
Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.
Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations.
Experience working in an ESOP firm is a plus.
