Overview:
Our client is a leading player in the renewable energy industry, focused on owning and operating renewable energy projects across the United States. With a portfolio that includes more than 75 utility scale renewable projects spread across 24 states, and over 10 GW of contracted capacity. As part of the teams continued expansion, they are looking for a talented and highly motivated Strategy Analyst or Associate to join the team. This exciting role will allow you to contribute to the development of market strategies, perform data-driven analysis, and support various aspects of our business, including project origination and market identification for solar, BESS and wind projects.
What You'll Do Day-to-Day:
In this role, you will support the development of our market strategy and new project decisions by conducting power market research and tracking industry trends. You will be involved in:
- Market Research & Analysis: Conduct in-depth analyses of electricity market fundamentals across the United States to identify attractive regions for renewable energy and energy storage projects.
- Strategic Insights: Provide research and insights into renewable energy demand opportunities with U.S. corporations and utilities, helping to guide key business decisions.
- Competitive Benchmarking: Support and maintain regular competitive analysis, including routine and ad hoc benchmarking of renewable energy market trends and opportunities.
- Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with Investment, Financial Planning & Accounting, and Asset Management teams to gather and disseminate critical insights and recommendations across the organization.
- M&A and Financial Support: Directly contribute to the company's M&A and financial underwriting processes, ensuring that data-driven strategic insights support decision-making.
Who We're Looking For:
Looking for a highly motivated individual with a passion for renewable energy and strong analytical skills. The ideal candidate will have:
- An undergraduate degree and at least two years of relevant experience, preferably with experience in data analysis and modeling (Excel proficiency is a must).
- A strong record of academic and professional achievement, well-developed communication skills, and a collaborative mindset.
- The ability to manage multiple projects with excellent organizational skills and a high level of motivation.
- A demonstrated interest in renewable energy projects and/or electricity markets in the U.S., with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new market trends and dynamics.
