Mechanical Engineer - Raleigh/Greensboro, NC
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop, design proposals, permit designs, energy modeling, specifications, commissioning, and construction review of HVAC and Mechanical systems.
- Work primarily with Design-Build project delivery models.
Responsibilities:
- Design HVAC and Mechanical systems.
- Collaborate with project team members to solve complex mechanical engineering problems and understand project-related issues.
- Report on project activities regularly.
- Ensure results meet customer requirements and standards.
- Estimate time required for tasks and monitor performance against schedules.
- Execute project assignments with minimal supervision.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in HVAC and Mechanical systems; knowledge of Plumbing systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit
- Experience in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Bluebeam.
- Experience with Energy Modeling Software (HAP or TRACE, etc.) is a plus.
- Design proficiency with air, hydronic, steam, refrigeration, humidity control, industrial ventilation, compressed air, natural gas, gases, fuel systems, or control.
- Familiarity with various market sectors including industrial, consumer product, laboratory, mission critical, hospitality, lodging, commercial, assembly, manufacturing, life sciences, archival, and pharmaceutical.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to provide timely, reliable, and courteous service to customers.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the team.
Education and Certifications:
- BSME (Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering).
- PE preferred.
- EIT preferred.
