Job Description: My client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Adelaide. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with a focus on water treatment systems. This role involves leading the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems and components for various water treatment projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the mechanical design and development of water treatment systems and components.
- Conduct detailed engineering analysis and calculations to ensure system performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and technicians, to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Oversee the preparation of technical specifications, drawings, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
- Participate in project planning, scheduling, and budgeting activities.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to assess project progress and address any technical issues.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in mechanical engineering and water treatment technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in the water treatment industry.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in using engineering software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ANSYS).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred.
