Job Description: Senior HVAC Engineer
Duties & Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have a robust background in HVAC design and a passion for delivering top-tier engineering solutions. This role involves leading HVAC projects, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring projects are completed successfully, on time, and within budget. Responsibilities include:
- Leading the design and development of HVAC systems for diverse building types.
- Managing HVAC projects from initial concept through completion.
- Performing load calculations, equipment selection, and system design.
- Collaborating with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
- Conducting site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Preparing and reviewing technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
- Ensuring all designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
- Participating in client meetings and presentations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The ideal candidate should:
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification is required.
- Have 8-10 years of experience in HVAC design.
- Demonstrate proficiency in HVAC design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Trane TRACE).
- Exhibit strong knowledge of building codes and standards.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
