Job Description: As a Heavy Civil Construction Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for heavy civil projects. You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure comprehensive and competitive bids. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop detailed cost estimates for heavy civil and pipeline projects.
Review project plans and specifications to determine scope and requirements.
Conduct site visits and assessments as needed.
Collaborate with project teams to prepare bid proposals.
Analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure accuracy.
Utilize Ineight Software for estimating and project management.
Maintain and update estimating database with current cost information.
Communicate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers as required.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in heavy civil/pipeline estimating.
Proficiency with Ineight Software is preferred.
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
