We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in the Greater Philadelphia area. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a strong background in DOT, tunnels, and railway projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage geotechnical engineering projects from inception to completion.
- Conduct site investigations, soil and rock sampling, and geotechnical analysis.
- Design and oversee the construction of foundations, retaining walls, tunnels, and other geotechnical structures.
- Prepare detailed geotechnical reports and provide recommendations based on findings.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil engineers, structural engineers, and project managers.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including DOT standards.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and technical staff.
- Participate in client meetings and presentations, providing expert advice and solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering.
- Proven experience with DOT, tunnels, and railway projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in geotechnical software and tools.
