Senior Controls Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Provide systems support for two manufacturing equipment systems currently in development:
- High-speed assembly automation line from a supplier in Canada for assembling blood gas sample and syringe products.
- Industrial batch washing and siliconization system from a supplier in Italy.
- Participate in design reviews, debugging, acceptance, and validation activities for equipment developed by external suppliers.
- Support the decommissioning of equipment at one facility and its recommissioning at another location.
- Assist with ongoing production support as needed.
- Provide expertise for 15 high-output automation lines assembling discrete components, including syringe and blood gas sample products.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a medical device manufacturing environment.
- Strong preference for experience with assembly automation systems.
- Hands-on validation experience, including IQ, OQ, PQ, and TMVs.
- Background in automation control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, vision systems, servos, and robots.
- Proficiency in standard Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications (Not Mandatory):
- Fundamental knowledge of statistical analysis, including GR&Rs and process capability.
- Experience with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation programming (Studio5000, RSView ME/SE).
- Siemens S7 programming experience.
- Experience with Staubli, EPSON, or ABB robots.
