The ideal candidates we seek are enthusiastic, team-oriented, and forward-thinking landscape architects. This position involves providing essential support in planning, designing, and obtaining permits for landscape architecture, land development, and planning initiatives. You will have the chance to contribute to integrated design projects for a diverse range of public and private sector clients, both nationwide and globally. Our teams collaborate with an extensive array of clients in both the private and public sectors, shaping environments such as urban revitalization and streetscapes, retail and commercial developments, educational institutions, healthcare facilities, smart growth initiatives, community planning, rooftop and courtyard landscapes, and brownfield redevelopment efforts. The selected candidate will complement and work closely with our growing team of designers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning, design, and permitting of landscape architecture, civil engineering, land development, and infrastructure projects using software tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, SketchUp, Photoshop, and Illustrator to create landscape and design documents.
- Conduct zoning, ordinance, and permit evaluations and support project feasibility assessments through data analysis.
- Contribute to the preparation and revision of design and engineering documents, including reports, specifications, plans, schedules, cost estimates, and project layouts.
- Assess soil composition, terrain, hydrology, and topographical and geological conditions to determine their influence on project planning and design by utilizing reports, maps, drawings, engineering plans, tests, and aerial imagery.
- Conduct field inspections as required.
- Perform additional tasks as needed.
Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in a landscape architecture firm:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited institution
- More than 10 years of relevant experience
- Licensed Landscape Architect
- Extensive planning and design experience on urban and large-scale institutional projects
- Demonstrates a strong dedication to design excellence and solving the challenges of developing dynamic urban spaces
- Highly creative with exceptional proficiency in Adobe Suite, SketchUp, and AutoCAD
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication abilities, both verbal and written
- Proven ability to follow direction effectively and collaborate successfully within a team
- Reliable transportation for job site visits and a valid driver's license in good standing
