Summary
The Reliability Engineer is responsible for optimizing the performance, efficiency, and profitability of solar assets. This role involves overseeing reliability engineering efforts, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The position includes developing strategies to enhance asset life cycle performance and leading daily system engineering activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead maintenance programs and failure prediction processes
- Develop strategies for performance optimization using advanced data science and AI techniques
- Establish processes for identifying performance issues and managing aerial thermography
- Collaborate with asset management, operations, and senior leadership to drive operational excellence
- Support regulatory compliance, commissioning, decommissioning, and panel recycling efforts
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
- 3+ years in renewable energy
- Strong knowledge of solar technology, data analysis, and tools like Python, MATLAB, and PVSyst
- Proficiency in project management, problem-solving, and communication
- Experience with failure prediction, failure mode analysis, and regulatory compliance programs
Location and Travel
