Job Opportunity: Assistant Civil Engineering Manager (Remote)
A leading engineering firm is seeking an experienced Assistant Civil Engineering Manager to join their Power Business Unit's Civil and Environmental Engineering Business Sector. This role offers the flexibility of a remote workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage civil engineering and permitting tasks.
Delegate and provide direction to engineering/drafting staff.
Lead and review the development of calculations, drawings, and project deliverables.
Develop proposals and monitor budgets.
Coordinate effectively with internal and external clients, as well as various engineering discipline leads.
Job Duties:
Design and facilitate civil engineering project tasks such as site grading, drainage design, and stormwater management.
Oversee technical work, staff planning, budget management, and quality assurance.
Prepare proposals, site reports, narratives, and project memorandums.
Conduct field condition assessments and perform bid and construction phase services.
Qualifications:
B.S. or M.S. in Engineering.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) License, with reciprocity in multiple states.
6+ years of experience in the field.
Strong communication skills and the ability to manage a team.
