A boutique civil firm with nearly 70 years of serving the Los Angeles Fuel/Alternative Energy Industry is seeking a principal engineer to join their team in Pasadena. The firm originally specialized in traditional fueling and has since transitioned into alternative fuels (hydrogen, EV Charging, liquefied and compressed natural gas, ethanol, and methanol). The Principal engineer will be the lead engineer and supervisor for the multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:
- Complete conceptual and preliminary Site Plans: stormwater design, entitlements, coordinating design consultants, WQMP, SWPP, NOI plans
- Scope of work definition and delegation
- Review and approval of all drawing packages, exhibits, and documents
- Preparation and communication of Cost estimates, proposals, schedules, timelines, and project deliverables to project managers and clients
- Supervision of civil design team
- Quality control of: calculation, designs, specifications, estimates
- Scheduling and coordination of project teams, clients, review agencies, subconsultants
- Submitting permit and entitlements documents and attaining approval
Requirements:
- 15+ years of relevant civil project experience (land development, fueling stations, renewable energy, and/or oil & gas pipelines)
- Civil 3D fluency
- Licensed Professional Engineer in California (required)
