Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with a spirited team to deliver comprehensive biological services across various projects.
- Conducting field surveys, habitat assessments, and environmental monitoring.
- Performing nesting bird surveys and supporting wetland delineations.
- Documenting and analyzing flora, fauna, and ecosystems.
- Creating detailed survey reports and technical documentation.
- Enthusiastic about balancing fieldwork with impactful office-based analysis.
- Willing to travel throughout California to participate in research and projects.
- Eager to expand your biological expertise under the mentorship of experienced professionals.
- Proficient in using modern data collection tools like Survey123, Collector/Field Maps app, or similar tablet-based technologies.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience conducting biological fieldwork, preferably in California.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, document, and analyze diverse biological materials and ecosystems.
- Experience with the following species:
- Giant Garter Snake
- Fairy Shrimp
- Swainson's Hawk
- Burrowing Owl
- California Tiger Salamander
