Position Overview:
As President of their Heavy Civil General Contracting firm, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, overseeing day-to-day operations, and ensuring the company's continued growth and profitability. You will work closely with senior leadership, project teams, and clients to maintain high standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the company's operations, ensuring alignment with overall strategic goals.
- Develop and execute business strategies that drive growth, increase market share, and enhance profitability.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
- Oversee financial performance, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental policies, and industry standards.
- Build and lead high-performance teams, focusing on talent development and retention.
- Provide leadership and direction to senior management and project teams to drive successful project execution.
- Serve as the primary face of the company in negotiations and business development efforts.
- Monitor market trends and industry developments to maintain competitive edge.
Experience & Qualifications Needed:
- Proven experience (10+ years) in senior leadership roles within the construction industry, with a focus on heavy civil contracting.
- Strong background in business development, financial management, and project execution.
- Deep understanding of heavy civil projects including infrastructure, transportation, and environmental construction.
- Experience with large-scale project management, budgeting, and contract negotiation.
- Demonstrated success in driving growth and profitability in a competitive market.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations impacting construction projects in Washington State.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (MBA or similar advanced degree preferred).
