Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Renewable Energy Power Systems Engineer to join our team in Brisbane. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in power systems engineering and extensive experience with industry-standard software tools such as PSS®E, PSCAD, PSS® SINCAL, PowerFactory, and DIgSILENT. You will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing renewable energy systems to ensure efficient and reliable integration into the power grid.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze renewable energy power systems, including wind, solar, and battery storage.
- Perform power system studies using PSS®E, PSCAD, PSS® SINCAL, PowerFactory, and DIgSILENT.
- Conduct load flow, short circuit, stability, and transient analysis.
- Develop and validate models for renewable energy systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of renewable energy projects.
- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams and stakeholders.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in renewable energy technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in power systems engineering.
- Proficiency in PSS®E, PSCAD, PSS® SINCAL, PowerFactory, and DIgSILENT.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge of Australian energy market regulations and standards is a plus.
