**Position Overview:**
We are currently seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Project Manager/Estimator to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in managing and estimating heavy civil projects, with a strong preference for those with prior experience working on Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual to oversee complex infrastructure projects from start to finish while contributing to the continued growth of a leading contractor.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Manage all aspects of heavy civil construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates, including labor, materials, and equipment, for large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Lead the development and implementation of project schedules, ensuring timely completion and coordination of activities.
- Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure project success.
- Ensure compliance with INDOT standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and control project progress, proactively addressing any issues or risks.
- Conduct site visits to oversee project milestones and ensure adherence to project plans and specifications.
- Maintain and organize project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and financial tracking.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative and goal-oriented work environment.
**Qualifications:**
- 5+ years of experience in project management and estimating for heavy civil construction projects.
- Proven experience managing projects such as bridges, highways, and excavation.
- INDOT project experience strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in project management and estimating software.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, safety standards, and industry regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is a plus.
